OFFICIAL: Andre Dede Ayew Joins West Ham United For Club Record £20.5m

Black Stars deputy skipper Andre Ayew ‘Dede’ has completed his switch from Swansea City to West Ham United, joining the London club for a club record £20.5m.
West Ham co-chairman David Gold confirmed the news on twitter, after Andre completed his medical to seal his switch from south Wales.
‘Dede’, as he’s usually called, signs a four year deal with the London club, who finished 7th last season and would play in the UEFA Europa League this year.
“I am very proud and happy to be at this magnificent club. I am happy to be playing for these fans and I hope to make the people very happy here.” Ayew, son of Ghana legend Abedi, told the club’s official site.
“The club have a lot of ambition and have a great manager. They want to become a bigger club every year and with the new stadium and a new training ground, you can feel they are moving onto another level and I want to be part of this project.” he added.
“I want to train hard, do my job and show that I deserve to play for West Ham United. I want to give back to the manager and the fans the confidence they are showing me.”

Ayew joined the English top flight just last season, impressing for Swansea City. He scored twelve goals playing all across the frontline.
The 26 year old also has 67 international caps for the Black Stars, with 11 goals. He has been a full international since 2007, and captained the national U-20 team to win Africa’s first ever World Youth Championship trophy in 2009.
