When Sasson extended his hand at the end of the bout, El Shehaby

That’s bad sportsmanship–especially at the Olympics games.
An Egyptian judo fighter who lost to an Israeli in a 100kg match refused to shake the hand  of the rival today-Friday at the Olympics in Rio.
This action of the defeated Egyptian judo fighter-Islam El Shehaby got him loudly booed.
El Shehaby was defeated with about 90 seconds left in the match–when his opponent Or Sasson completed a dominating 2nd takedown.
As convention demands in judo, after the match, Sasson approached El Shehaby to shake his hand but El Shehaby refused .
Though El Shehaby could just have been a bitter loser, reports say his action was somewhat politically motivated–in that powerful Egyptians had called for El Shehaby to withdraw from the fight in the first place to avoid having to compete with an Israeli opponent.
