Veteran Actor Kofi Middleton-Mends Died Via Kidney Failure

Veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Middleton-Mends passed away earlier this week, at the age of 77.
It has emerged that the actor died due to kidney failure, having battled the illness for the past few years.
Middleton-Mends passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he has been undergoing his dialysis treatments.
The veteran thespian was most known for an acclaimed role in 1968’s ‘No Tears for Ananse’, as well as 1988’s ‘Heritage Africa’. He was also a prominent face on television for years for his role in Key Soap commercials.
His later years were spent as a lecturer, both at NAFTI and the University of Ghana.
His most recent acting effort was in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s ‘Grey Dawn’ (2015).
