Every body who grew up in Ghana must have come across this–especially during Christmas.
And to some, this is where corruption started: because no matter how much you spent on this “try your luck” game, you could never win the biggest balloon, which was everyone’s target.
The reason why it was literally impossible to win the biggest balloon is that, people played to win that particular balloon and therefore there was no way the shop keepers were going to allow anyone to win it–else that would have been the end of the game.
So what they did is; they always removed the biggest balloon from where it is supposed to be and placed it in a whole that they’ve already removed the corresponding number.
It was a big scam but we all fell for it.
Anyway, there were equally some big balloons left for some lucky souls to win though!
