Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan paid a visit to the ‘football mad’ British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, on Monday.
Benjamin is one of the most affable diplomats in the country, and spends a lot of time engaging in football banter on his oft used twitter account.
Gyan, who is on the verge of moving from his current club Shanghai SIPG, reportedly told Benjamin his next club – a nugget he revealed, and which has since become the biggest guessing game on twitter.
No need to guess, we’ll know in 9 days whether he’s moving to Europe or not. Anything after that – after the European window closes on September 1 – is not going to be a very interesting transfer.
