That’s pretty insane–considering the fact that this patient had just been treated so well by the hospital she stole its ambulance meant for the services of others like her.
According to a report by The Smoking Gun, Lisa Carr, 43, was discharged from Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati around 11 PM on Thursday last week. She then stole a parked ambulance and drove it home when she realised all the buses she could catch to go home had closed.
Per a police report, officers quickly tracked the ambulance via its GPS signal to Carr’s residence which was 10 miles from the hospital.
Interestingly, Carr was a safe driver as the ambulance never topped 30 mph.
Carr was arrested for theft, driving with a suspended license, and failure to comply with police and was taken into custody for questioning.
She reportedly “admitted to swiping the Ford E-450 ambulance”, and told cops she “took the vehicle because she missed the last bus.”
