We’ve always said Counsellor George Lutterodt dishes out absurd relationship advice–now, it seems he is heading to the land of the insane with the sort of nonsense he comes up with these days.
Counsellor George Lutterodt has said on eTV that, a brother has the right to sleep with his brother’s wife–provided he stood in for his brother during a traditional engagement, a practice very common in Ghana.
He said: “You are not in Ghana and you want to marry this fine lady and your family ask your brother to stand in for you. Libation is poured on you on behalf of your brother and when they finish, they call the husband abroad to let him know the ceremony is done.”
He continued: “When that happens, the one who stood in has the right to have sexual intercourse with the girl because traditionally the wife was given to whoever was present and the witnesses don’t know the one abroad. The whole point is that, engagement without the person marrying the girl is null and void spiritually and morally.”
