Is this some kind of joke? Why did Pastor Obinim not free himself when he was in the grips of Police and behind bars?
I thought it was easy for him to go SPIRITUAR and turn himself into whatever he wants to be. When is this going to end?
I am even ashamed of myself that I even entertained any of this mess from stumbling upon his YouTube page. I watched many of the staged performances of this so-called Pastor delivering so-called miracles. One particular event that was unbelievable was when he claimed to have granted a U.S. visa to a member of the Church.
Pastor Obinim prayed for the passport to appear. This guy pulls out the passport to only show the viewing audience the page of the passport picture. First, the passport was in his pocket. Second, where was the picture of the Visa that was granted? Come on… really???
I really don’t understand why the LAWS of our Mother-land Ghana have not found any reason to trial this Man and put him behind bars once and for all. What is the meaning of all this? What is the Christian Council or any other religious counsel in Ghana saying about this ?
So if Obinim’s church members are asked to eat poo or drink urine, would they do it? If we are hearing of Churches in Africa asking members to crawl like animals and eat grass, then why can this not happen in Ghana? Aba!
So Obinim took it upon himself to whip two young adults who were in his care due to fornication. He also has claimed that it was “God” who told him to go through with his actions and also directed the Jnr. Pastors to do the same.
As I watch the video over and over again, I then ask myself “Is this not abuse?” Is flogging, whipping or beating not a thing of the past?
Not only did Bishop Obinim go over-board but also disgraced the children, the same children he claims he was trying to help/discipline. Has anyone thought of the psychological effects upon these children? The shame that has been brought onto them? What is furthermore disturbing is the amount of support that this Man received.
Have we not also noticed that the Pastors/Jnr Pastors have a certain uniform? Do we not see the bleaching of the skin, s-curls, suits and Santiago shoes? High-fashion be this..straight up mockery.
The people in support are clearly blind and have been brain-washed by this “Church” to the point, where I believe that no matter what he does or say, they would never be rejected.
Do we not recall the stories of Waco, Texas and Jim Jones?? How is this not far from cultish behaviour? Is it not poverty, lack of education and ignorance that have blind-sighted people from the truth?
How can one be loyal to a Church that is not even older than your own Father? Furthermore, why is there such an imbalance of wealth? Have people not seen the home and cars that Bishop Obinim owns? There are probably people in the Church, who cannot even afford 3 square meals.
Should we forget his previous drama, where he had an affair with the partner of his Jnr. Pastor and crippled a child with his hands? How can a man of God insult a former Head of State or get caught up with the battle of insults with others? When are some Ghanaians going to wake up? Hopefully, not when it is too late!!
Something should be done as people’s rights are being infringed on and they are unaware. The likes of Obinim are danger to Ghanaian society especially to those who are vulnerable.
Do we have to wait before we say “Eish”, Hmm or Asem be dis!”.
