If you don’t recognise the above logo, then I’m sorry I cannot help you.
I am a millenial who grew up in the late 90’s and early 00’s. For most of my generation, we grew up at a time that the liberalisation of the airwaves in the country was just kick starting, leading to the setting up of many private radio and more importantly, television stations.
This was followed with programming set to catch the eyes of the viewer, with capturing the minds and souls of the young ones a very important goal.
So cartoons were innumerable on the airwaves at the time, with every weekday after school being a marathon race to get home and sit behind the tv. Cartoon Network provided us the most of these.
So after my recent highly successful list of top ten tv series of all time – here is my list of top ten cartoons aired on Ghanaian tv in the late 90’s and early 00’s.
Feel free to agree or disagree, and list cartoons I might have left off the list. Let’s go full nostalgia mode.
Here’s the ‘Sorry for not making the cut list ‘

  • Courage the Cowardly Dog
  • Cow and Chicken
  • Johnny Quest
  • Sheep in the Big City
  • The Rugrats
  • Dennis and Gnasher
  • California Raisins
  • The Jetsons
