Samini has addressed his never ending beef with Shatta Wale, indicating he played a role in bringing up the erstwhile Bandana before his metamorphosis into the current ‘Dancehall King’.
The two dancehall acts have been having a lighthearted and sometimes deadly serious beef over who’s the bigger dog in Gh dancehall.
Speaking on Hitz Fm, Samini noted that during his first huge tour after the success of Linda, he ‘brought on’ Shatta Wale – known as Bandana at the time – who was also coming off his first hit with ‘Moko Hoo’.
“We’ve done some works together, I put him on my first tour in 2004, when I did Linda” he said.
According to him, that was the extent of their relationship, until they met again in 2013 after he reappeared on the scene.
Samini  also said their ‘beef’ should be taken light-heartedly by fans, especially as this was an election year and a message of unity is crucial. He also called Shatta Wale’s diss tracks as noise that are patched up after 30 minutes in the studio.
