Nigerian gospel singer Egberame Paul Praise, most known for his song ‘My Good Is Good’ (Double Double), has suffered from total renal failure (the collapse of both kidneys).
The singer developed the condition at the beginning of the year, and has been receiving treatments at the NAF Base hospital in Ikeja, Lagos ever since.
The singer requires a transplant to rectify the issue, but the problem is cost – Naij.com reports that N9m (approx. $30,000) is needed for the procedure. A drive to raise funds for him has been started.
Praise told the website that the issue started in January, when he lost one kidney. He said he later lost the other one as well, and he has been undergoing dialysis treatments twice every week.
He said he’s now trusting on his ‘double double’ God to get him out of his predicament.
“I am believing God for a miracle as I need to go for a transplant soon.” he said.
