Lord Paper Promises Awuarama Part II Would Be 'Even Crazier' Than The First

Michael Takyi-Frimpong, the artiste also known as Lord Paper – says Ghanaians should look out for a bigger and better sequel to his highly popular music video
Lord Paper’s ‘Awurama’ music video – which is practically p*rn’ – was easily the biggest story of the entirety of last week. The video captured the minds (and other body parts) of the populace, enjoying huge patronage even as its participants were condemned.
But speaking to the Graphic Showbiz, Lord Paper said the video was simply art that was expressing his ideas. He said he had no idea it would blow up as it did (lie) – and promised a sequel that would be ‘even crazier’ than the first.
Well, bring it on.
“Nothing about this was planned. It was simply a video that was shot for a particular song and the video depicts exactly what was in the song. If I truly expected this video to blow up like it did, I would have done everything to take advantage of it.” the singer said.
“I did not even [have] active social media accounts at the time I released the video. If I had any indication this video would get this much attention, I would have set these up prior to the release
“Everyone has their opinion about the video and I completely understand. Some think it’s too explicit, but some also understand that this is nothing more than a work of art. As an artiste, my style is to depict what I sing about. I have another single, Sika Duro and in that video, I depict exactly what people go through for money rituals and that is a similar concept to Awurama,” he added.
“The video is age restricted so on all platforms you have to be 18 and above to view it. I have received some positive reviews from countries like Germany, and I heard it was even played on a network there.”
