"I Will Not Stop Until I Find The Love Of My Life"- Taraji P. Henson

taraji-p-henson-golden-globes-2016Whilst some of us are would run away from anything that has or come in the form of love, Taraji P. Henson says she is never giving up on love until she has lived her own fairy tale story.
The actress certainly is on a mission to find love, what baffles me is the fact that cupid has generously treated her sourly in her romance-capades so why she is still insistent on finding love is one thing I am yet to fathom.
The single mum, whose high school sweetheart William Lamar Johnson – the father of her 22-year-old son Marcell, was murdered in 2003, tells Redbook she would still like to show her son what true love looks like.
“If I was going to get married, it had to be for love, because I wanted Marcell to see that real kind of love – the kind I yearn for,” she tells the publication. “That old couple crooked and bent over but still holding hands, I know that kind of love exists and I’m not going to stop until I have that.”
Taraji will be discussing her love life in more detail in her memoir Around the Way Girl, a book she wrote to empower her fans. Her personal story is filled with both success and hardship – back in 1997, she arrived in Los Angeles with few prospects, a baby and $700 in her pocket in a bid to fulfil her dream of becoming a professional actress.
“God didn’t give me anything more than he gave anyone else,” she shares. “We’re all born with a deck of cards and no instructions on how to play them. All God gave us was choice. You can choose to wake up sad or to wake up happy. I chose not to live in fear and to make the best of my life. You can’t put your happiness into anybody’s hands but your own.”
Henson’s memoir, Around the Way Girl, is released in October (16).
