The Electricity Company of Ghana has announced on Facebook using the above image that, it will pay 6 percent of the amount owed by an illegal connection operator to the person who reports this connection to them.
And we think someone should take this up as a full time job.
Considering the increasing number of people stealing electricity in Ghana, you can make a fortune by just moving from house to house or neighborhood to neighborhood, looking for illegal connection users and reporting them to ECG for your cool 6 percent.
But you ought to be careful though, since this can be dangerous. A snitch usually gets beaten.
