Whoopi Goldberg, 60, walked the runway at New York Fashion Week’s election-themed show from Opening Ceremony wearing a black gown with ruffles in the shoulder and leg areas.
The event was held at New York City’s Javits Center, where women stood in front of a collection of international flags.
According to the DailyMail, the New York City native, when asked by Armisen what brought her to the event, told attendees, ‘Well Fred, only in America can a girl like me find herself walking on a stage like this!’
With her trademark candor, the show biz stalwart also encouraged the crowd to cast their ballots in November 8 election: ‘Vote – because if don’t vote you can’t b****!’.
