Mary J Blige’s estranged husband Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs is aiming at emptying her bank account, TMZ reports.
According to the media house, the former manager has finally replied the singer’s divorce petition, and he is seeking a spousal so huge the singer has filed docs asking the court to block him from getting it.
In July, Blige filed for the dissolution of their 12-year marriage citing irreconcilable differences. She had banned him from having female friends, as she too, as a married woman refused to have male friends. And in her 2014 interview with Stella Magazine, Blige admitted that it was challenging being married to her own manager.
Now, TMZ claims that Mry J Blige was clearly the breadwinner during their marriage. There are fears that all their assets will be split in two as it is unclear if they signed a prenup.
Also, the media house adds that Kendu wants Blige to pay his lawyer’s fees.
