Okyeame Kwame has been speaking out on the concept of beefing between artists and evidently, it’s not something he likes very much.
The ‘rap dacta’ was speaking to 3News on his ‘beef’ with Obrafour – something dating back to half a decade ago when Obrafour released ‘Kasiebo’ with Guru.
Okyeame Kwame said he didn’t really consider that a beef, and dissed on the entire concept of beefing in general.
“Every artiste who disses another artiste disses himself and you beef openly. I don’t think that’s who Ghanaians are,” he said.
“We are not the ones that fight like that because we are a people of love as Busia puts it in his book and the Ghanaian is very respectful.”
When asked whether a collaboration with Obrafour was in the offing, he said that’s not something he’s seriously considering.
“I love him and he loves me but collaboration with Obrafuor, I don’t know because immediately I collaborate with him people will think that we planned to do what we did. I don’t want people to think that I might have planned to confuse somebody just to sell my records”. OK told the interviewer.
