Diamond Appiah's Ongoing Defence Of Bishop Obinim Gets More Ridiculous – Her Latest One Is That We Shouldn't Believe What Comes Out Of Obinim's Own Mouth

Angel-Obinim
The mental gymnastics and illogical contortions at play here are simply breathtaking.
Diamond Appiah is back on the warpath for her spiritual daddy Bishop Daniel Obinim, and she’s defending him with the same fervour she always has. The only problem is that defending the indefensible usually leaves one very red in the face – just ask Donald Trump’s top surrogates.
Diamond’s latest Obinim defence is on another zen level of creativity, perhaps requiring some ‘Matrix’ like mental gymnastics that the rest of us are simply unable to conjure – her latest argument is that we shouldn’t believe Obinim’s own words that streamed out of his mouth.
You stunned yet?
Diamond Appiah took notice that GhanaCelebrities.Com called her and her pastor out over her most recent Obinim defence (before this one), in which she wildly tore into Ghanaians for judging the man of God based on an incident of adultery that happened many years ago.
Her point was that no-one is without sin and therefore in any position to judge, and even claimed many ‘high ranking’ pastors in the country are leaving double lives that would put Obinim’s one transgression to shame.

We just took the little liberty of pointing out that Obinim’s transgressions were more than just committing adultery, since he pretty much lied about it afterwards – either on Delay or on TV3, since both statements can’t be true.
We wrote…

Firstly, nobody really judges Obinim based solely on the adultery – just this year he has done a lot of crazy things such as flogging a pregnant girl and claiming to be a necromancer. Secondly, he gave an asinine explanation for the adultery to Delay when it came up, then flat out denied it on tv3 merely a few weeks ago. Both can’t be right so he’s a damn liar as well. These IGWC people should make up their minds whether their pastor is an adulterer who shouldn’t be judged or someone being falsely accused.

Diamond conveniently ignored the other reasons why someone might decide not to like Obinim, and took offence at the (factually accurate) assertion that Obinim is a damn liar, hoisted by his own petard. Once again, here’s video evidence of Obinim lying through his teeth – either on one or the other occasion – before we hear Diamond’s incredible new defence.

But according to Diamond, this actually isn’t evidence that Obinim is lying. She calls Delay’s show a ‘concert’ that ‘is not a serious platform’ – so apparently it’s okay to lie there. Her coup de grace is that we shouldn’t believe what we so clearly heard Obinim saying on Delay because – Diamond Appiah said so.
But if we shouldn’t believe his words on Delay, why the hell should we believe his words on TV3, or anywhere else we hear that braggadocios baritone of his? A man is only as good as his word.
Perhaps she’s willing to buy into the cult mentality of ‘believe everything your leader says’ – but we’re a little more sceptical and discerning here on GC. Obinim claims powers no man can claim and provides no evidence to back that up – and on top of that he’s a lying megalomaniac who’s gotten rich off of the gullibility of Ghanaians. He can continue doing that, but people would protest all the way. It’s Diamond’s right to call such people shallow minded and it’s our right to judge Obinim for what everyone but his blindly devoted loyalists see him to be.
