This is the kind of politics we know, lies and insults and burying people before their time.
The NDC manifesto launch in Sunyani has been ‘blessed’ by rain so far, a harsh downpour delaying the event.
Some youth of the party who have turned up to the event are carrying a coffin draped with posters of the NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.
The coffin has been covered head to toe with posters of Nana and is being carried around the grounds, reportedly to cheers from the gathered throngs who were absolutely delighted with it.
This action becomes more distasteful when one considers some stories that have been circulated this election claiming Akuffo-Addo is gravely ill and is on the verge on death. In this climate it can’t exactly be argued the use of the coffin is symbolic.
This is not really politics but just blatant fear-mongering about the health of a candidate with no evidence to back it up.
