Agya Koo Denies He Has Been Paid Any Money To Campaign For Nana Akuffo-Addo – ‘I Have Not Been Paid A Pesewa’

Actor Agya Koo has come out to vehemently deny he has been offered money by the NPP to endorse its flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.

Agya Koo and some Kumawood colleagues held a press conference in Kumasi on Wednesday, during which they threw their weight behind Nana Addo for the coming election.

Agya Koo at the presser said that the system has dried up since the NDC government came into power and therefore he’s fighting to get Nana Addo elected into office.

But he has been hit with allegations of taking money since the press conference, and speaking on Asempa Fm later on Wednesday, he denied being handed any cash for his endorsement.

“I have not been paid a pesewa to support Nana Addo, as I speak to you, I am doing this out of genuine convictions. I am going according to the view of majority of Ghanaians” he said.

“For five years now, no producer has featured me in a movie because they claim there is no money, even the band that I have, no one comes to hire us, they prefer the spinners” Agya Koo added.

“I represent the views of majority of Ghanaians, they are all clamouring for change and that is what I and my fellow actors and actresses are repeating, the time for change is now and I, Agya Koo and many others want change”

Much like Mzbel and Lucky Mensah, any celebrity who makes the choice would be hit with such allegations. And since there is no way to really tell what has happened these denials aren’t worth anything at all.
