A man known as Akwasi Emmanuel has reportedly been dragged before a Circuit Court in Accra for the offence of sprinkling water on the President of Ghana.
Akwasi committed the ‘offence’ on September 15, at a time that the President paid a visit to the Agbogbloshie market, the Ghana News Agency reports.
He was dragged before the Accra Circuit court and charged with ‘offensive conduct’.
His plea was not taken by the court, with the trial judge ordering the police to take him for psychiatric evaluation. He has been remanded into custody until the evaluation is completed.
