The things that we are taught about as children have a lasting impact on us, they shape our entire worldview and become difficult to shake off even as an adult.
So learning wrong information as a child is near suicidal, especially when you consider the fact that no one really goes out of their way to learn anything in Ghana outside what is force-fed to us in the classroom.
I was walking in my township Labadi on Sunday when I chanced upon the above, on the wall of a school. Now there were numerous such drawings but this one immediately caught my eye.
There is something wrong with the photo which is not immediately apparent, because it has been taught that way for years. It’s only reading on the subject later that one can disabuse their minds of the error implanted in them as kids.
