A baby has been born in Guangzhou, China, which sufferes from a rare condition which means it is unable to develop eyes.
The baby reportedly suffers from Anophthalmia, a rare condition that affects every 1 in 100,000 children.
Liu Peihua, the child’s mother, gave birth last week – and despite a completely normal pregnancy with no sign anything had gone wrong – the child arrived with the condition.
It’s a permanent condition with no known cure, meaning the child would spend his entire life essentially blind.
