"I Regret Most Of My "Stupid" Secular Songs" – Okyeame Quophi

1_opt-1We have heard these same lines from the camp of Lord Kenya, Ofori Amponsah, Yaw Siki and the list can go on and on— once they decide to leave the ‘world and become staunch Christians’ , these are what they keep telling us and who are we to judge or say otherwise.
Former member of the dynamic hiplife duo Akyeame, Okyeame Quophi has expressed his rue over some of the songs he did whilst he was still doing secular music.
Speaking to Giovanni and Anita Erskine on the Starr Drive, Okyeame said he regrets those songs.
“Everything that anybody ever does at any point in their lifetime is good for the moment, it serves a particular purpose, it might be out of fashion now, but for the moment that the song was done it served a particular purpose, I regret some songs though, some were stupid songs and I don’t want to hear those songs anymore,” he said on the show.
The now pastor said he heard the voice of the Lord in 2015, taking us back in time, he said:
I woke up on that fateful morning and I heard the voice of God clearly.
“God directed me to some particular chapters in the Bible that have been chosen [for me] to do a particular thing in life and this is the time. And I started asking questions and God put me on a Fastlane to what I have become now on call to the youth on the times we are right now, seek righteousness, make right choices, talk to people about God and bring them home,” Okyeame stated.
He is married to Stacy and the couple is blessed with two kids.
