As elections draw nigh, tempest are high and people would be quoted to say what they never may have even thought of saying— Mercy Asiedu is the latest victim to be warped in this web.
Multiple reports established that the Kumawood movie star has denied the presidential candidate of the strongest opposition party, Nana Addo but coming from the horses very own mouth, she never did say that.
According to her, a picture was circulating on social media at the back of her affiliation and endorsement of Nana and she only came out to say that picture was an old picture taken in 2012.
Apparently people saw that as a denial to the party and made a deal out it.
Speaking to Solid FM Saturday afternoon, she told host of Entertainment Edge, Tony Best she has not seen Nana let alone speaking to him to deny him.
The fuming woman said:
“I read some reports saying Mercy Asiedu denies Nana Addo, I’ve not denied anybody. I’ve not had a talk with anybody for me to deny him so that report is not true.”
Adding that her job as an actor has given her enough reasons not to endorse any political party. I think that is one smart move.
