The UK national who fled to Ghana after murdering his former partner and their two children and was then later apprehended, Arthur Simpson-Kent, has received a life sentence for the murders.
The 48 year old was handed the sentence at a hearing at Old Bailey Wednesday.
Arthur Simpson-Kent was declared wanted when police found bodies of Sian, and their two kids, Zachary and Amon on January 5, buried in shallow graves in their own back yard at Erith, Kent.
He reportedly murdered them when he found out Sian was planning to take the children and leave him.
Kent had fled to Ghana, where he was born, at the time- and an international manhunt for his capture ended when he was grabbed in the Western Region on 9 January.
He was arrested at Heathrow after being extradited, and was placed on trial for the crimes.
He pleaded guilty on his first court appearance after he was arraigned.
