Popularly known for its annual mega all female concert, the ‘Girl Talk’ brand has expanded its reach with interesting activities, carefully geared toward the empowerment of women, addressing the needs of women and providing women with global platforms for networking.

One of Girl Talk’s new vibrant initiatives is its monthly all female gathering—the Girl Talk Monthly Birthday Hangout.

Carved on the back of networking, support, empowerment and celebration, the ‘Girl Talk Monthly Birthday Hangout’ puts randomly selected women and ‘special’ personalities together—all sharing a birth month to celebrate their birthdays with fun packed activities.

Having kicked off in May, on a daily basis, one of the Girl’s Talk’s brand loyal social media followers who celebrates’ her birthday is chosen via interactions on social media and mainstream media.

At the end of the month, ladies who have been chosen are given a treat alongside female personalities who also celebrate their birthday in the month in question.

In May alone, over two thousand entries were received as a result of a campaign, which the brand is currently undertaking on its various social media pages.

Thirty one of these ladies who were chosen in May alongside Award-winning actress, television presenter and producer-Ama K. Abebrese and Miss Ghana 2010, Stephanie Karikari who themselves were born in May were treated to a thrilling 5D Cinema experience after which a fun-filled party was held at Rina’s restaurant, which is located in the Osu Mall.

For the Month of June, the celebrants were given a Makeover and Photoshoot session after which there was a Dinner party for the ladies alongside Jeremie Van-Garshong and Nana Aba Anamoah at the Accra City Hotel.

August was an unforgettable Karaoke night at one of Accra’s ‘Lord of the Wings’ restaurant. Joselyn Dumas, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Caroline Simpson and Deborah Vanessa joined the August borns for a night of music, great conversation and socializing.
