The second Presidential debate of the US election cycle came off Sunday night at the University of Washington between the two main candidates for President.
Donald J. Trump came up against Hillary Rodham Clinton, this time within the town hall format.
The debate came up against the backdrop of a s*xual assault scandal against Mr Trump, stemming from a leaked audio obtained by the Washington Post of a 2005 conversation between Trump and Billy Bush in which the then reality tv star made crude comments about women – including claiming that he could walk up to any woman and ‘grab them by the p*ssy’.
After 48 hours of taking a beating in the press, Trump responded by organising a press conference in which he presented women who claimed to have been s*xually assaulted by Bill Clinton – and they were also present at the debate.
