We just can’t even begin to imagine the kind of heartbreak Gay has to be going through right now. A 15 year old daughter, senselessly shot dead by some animals.
US sprinter Tyson Gay has lost his 15 year old daughter, the unfortunate victim of a drive by shooting. Trinity Gay was shot in the car park of a restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky – an innocent bystander who got hit as two vehicles exchanged gunfire.
Ms Gay was hit in the neck and rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately passed away.
“She didn’t make it. I’m so confused. She was just here last week for fall break. It’s so crazy. I have no idea what happened,” Tyson Gay told Lex 18, a local tv station in his hometown, where the tragedy occurred.
Trinity was also an athlete like her dad, and competed for Lafayette High School, where she was a student until her untimely demise.
