Florence Osei, aka Afua Birago, the girlfriend of the late Kessben Fm journalist Confidence Kwadwo Baah, has been granted bail by police.
Birago was picked up by police in connection with his death as she was one of the last people seen in his company and actually spent the night at his place.
Late Monday night, the police granted her bail as they said there is currently no evidence of foul play in the death of the journalist.
They are however, still waiting for the results of an autopsy which they say could take up to two weeks to procure. What is found in his body could confirm or deny whether there was indeed foul play complicit in his death.
A popular Kumasi based presenter, the death of Baah Sunday morning shocked the metropolis. He was found unconscious in his room and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
His girlfriend of 8 years, Florence, spent Saturday night with him, but says she left him at dawn, around 4:30am.
He picked her up earlier in the day, she told officers, after which they visited about three drinking bars in the vicinity. They later went to his place, but he was too inebriated for them to do anything, so he went straight to sleep.
He was later found Sunday (after she had left) by an aunt who had come to wake him up. She narrated the sad incident, which you can listen to here.
