AFCON 2017 Draw To Be Held Today – Find Out All About How The Black Stars Possible Opponents Here

The Black Stars would know all about their possible opponents for the 2017 Cup of African nations when the draw is held later today (Wednesday).
Gabon are hosting next year’s tournament, set to run from 14 January to 5 February 2017. Ghana, runners-up at the last edition, are in the top seed of the draw alongside Champions Cote d’Ivoire, hosts Gabon and the continent’s top ranked Fifa side Algeria.
Gabon and Cote d’Ivoire have already been settled in Groups A and C respectively, with Ghana and Algeria to take up shop in Groups B and D, to be determined during the draw.
After the top seeds have been assigned to a group, the teams from Pot 4 would also be assigned a group each, with the first team drawn going into Group A, then the next one into B, C and D respectively.
Same procedure would be repeated for Pot 3, then Pot 2. Each group would have one team from each of the four pots of teams.
The draw comes off at 1600 GMT.

Pot 1: Gabon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Algeria
Pot 2: Tunisia, Mali, Burkina Faso, DR Congo
Pot 3: Cameroon, Senegal, Morocco, Egypt
Pot 4: Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Guinea Bissau
