The promises the NDC are handing out to us seem to get sweeter and sweeter everyday and it makes you wonder – what the hell have they been doing for the past eight years?
President Mahama says Ghanaians would enter a great period of prosperity from 2017 onwards as the tough times are now over.
In a speech to party faithfuls in Anyinam and Osino the President promised us a new era of flowing milk and honey but it would start in 2017 and only after we have retained him in office.
“I had to take some tough decision, all in the interest of the nation.” the President began. “[But] 2017 is a period of prosperity for Ghana. I don’t demand any tough endurance from Ghanaians anymore.”
He continued: “Things have changed. The Cedi was the best performing currency of the whole of Africa. Power crises demand is growing by 10 to 12 per cent. We need to keep up with the demand slowly. We are fixing the dumsor. The ongoing works on the Sankofa Gas will generate 170 million standard cubic gas to generate 1,000 megawatts of power to last for over 20 years”
According to President Mahama, the last four years of his Presidency was just about making tough choices, and he kind of acknowledges that he made Ghanaians suffer. But no problem, from next year suffering is over and prosperity begins!
