A Ghanaian shipping worker has been shot dead in the UK right in front of his mother in a horrifying murder case currently being investigated by police.
James Owusu was standing right on his doorstep making a call with his mother mere feet away, when a two guys shot him as they walked by.
Bystanders tried to treat him whilst emergency personnel were called in, who gave him emergency care for his multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, he did not make it.
Owusu lived in Harlesden with his mother, and worked for Sam Amiah Shipping. He was a business administration graduate who was by all means a model worker and son. It’s unclear what led to this tragic shooting.
His mother, Deborah, who saw her son shot right before her eyes, was devastated.
“He was my only son, I am absolutely devastated.” she told the Evening Standard.
“He was a good boy in every way. We cannot understand why this has happened I am heartbroken.”
His uncle George added: “He was a bright, lovely, gentle guy. He was never in any trouble. We cannot understand. He was shot in front of his mother.
“We are all just confused, I spent a lot if time with him, we even worked together. He was no gang member or anything like that.”
A witness to the shooting told the Standard what happened.
“Two people walked by and shot him in the back. He was on his phone and the door was open, he was not expecting it.
“I tried to save him and gave him CPR but there’s nothing more I could have done. He was a good friend, we are all hurting.”
Another witness confessed to hearing four loud bangs, which he mistook for fireworks going off.
Police are still investigating but are yet to make any arrests related to the incident.
