Ghanaian politician-Kennedy Agyepong has stated that NDC’s General Secretary-Johnson Asiedu Nketiah owes him 200 dollars–money he loaned him to settle some utility bills when he was struggling way back.
The NPP MP for Assin Central added that Asiedu Nketiah has refused to pay this debt–and in Ghana, such a man is given unfortunately audience.
Ken Agyepong made appeared in Bawku at the weekend for the campaign launch of the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Agbanwa Gabiana Abugri, a principal health professional and said;
“God, why have you punished us like that? I mean, in this country we listen to Asiedu Nketia, a man who could not even pay his electricity bills. He owes me two hundred dollars. Up to now he hasn’t paid. I don’t know if he’s going to pay me tomorrow.”
He added: “We were in Parliament together when he came to me saying he could not pay his electricity bills and begged for money. I gave him two hundred dollars. If he does not want me to say anything further about the money, he should pay it back,” he said with frustration as he also recounted the time the NDC’s scribe was spotted in a woman’s winter coat on a trip to Germany, saying, as he puffed at the sky in extreme disappointment as though looking for God, that: “Politics is cheap in this country. If not, what was a villager doing in Germany in his wife’s winter coat?”
