Pastor Majid Michel has been receiving a lot of platitudes from all quarters for his recent move to ministry – but not everyone is so enthused with him.
A recent report from GhanaCelebrities.Com showed that the pastor’s move might have been motivated by something other than just receiving ‘a call’ – concerns that many others who are not so caught up in the whole Christianity thing perfectly echo.
Anyway, those doubting his sincerity seems to be eating up the preacher – leading to him addressing those concerns in a recent interview where he said he has always been a pastor.
Taking to social media Thursday, Majid seems to still be addressing those doubting Thomases. According to him, the Lord promised his followers persecution and hardships if they foolowed him, and that it is not supposed to be entirely plain sailing.
“… so did the Lord promise you that He’ll bless you?…He did?…Did He also promise you that He’ll prosper you?…He Did?… Great!!. Did He also tell you that you will be insulted? And persecuted? because of HiM?… huh?… Did he?? …… Oh u forgot??…Or u didn’t read that part?…well let me remind you in Matt 5:11 and Luke 6:22 … He also promised…when you stand for righteousness, you will be insulted, you will be persecuted and people will falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of HiM HE says.!” he wrote.
He continued that for true Christians therefore, they should not be looking for validation from the outside world but from the Lord.
“So stop looking for people to like you when you are standing for righteousness. But blessed are you when men shall insult you when you stand up for what is right! So Get ready for insults! But rejoice and be exceedingly glad for great is your reward says the scripture. #LEADERSHiP”
