Hold your ceremony and reception in one spot— it will cut travel time for yourself, and the guests. For instance, it is advisable to use your church’s premises if it has one for the reception than to go and rent a different place for the reception. If you are not having the wedding in a church, you can hold both the ceremony and the reception at the same venue. There are other options available that you might have to pay for but it will be cheaper compared to the others. For instance you can use a school’s premises, or a company’s clubhouse.
