A Kenyan couple from Kisumu have named their son after the president elect of the United States— according to Mr Felix Otieno and Ms Lorna Akoth, the parents of the baby, they selected that name because of Trump’s principles.
Felix Otiendo and Lorna Akoth’s son was born on August 9 but have now decided to honour the Republican stunning victory over Clinton by naming their son after the business tycoon.

“At the time, I was not sure whether Mr Trump would pull a surprise victory but I had the conviction the businessman had what it took to be a leader.”
His wife added she liked Trump because even when he was under fire from critics during the presidential race, “he was frank and firm”.
She said: “At least he spoke the truth without using propaganda or lies to win votes. We loved him and had to name our son after him.”
The Otiendo family has been slammed by other Kenyans, who claim the President-elect is prejudiced towards the African community.
But the couple insist the reality TV star-turned-politician has lots of great qualities.
Mr Otiendo said: “Most politicians are not sincere like him. I admired him because he is a man who says what he thinks.”
The couple have two other children, Robert Kelly Otiendo and Prince Charles Otiendo.
The day after baby Trump was born, Ms Akoth posted a message on Facebook which said: “I just delivered a baby boy named him Donald Trump Otieno just following my Luo customs… Donald Trump Otieno may God give you wisdom as Solomon.”
