Martin Amidu Wins Supreme Court Case Against Woyome – Gets To Orally Examine Him November 24

Former Attorney General and famed citizen vigilante Martin Amidu has won a landmark victory at the Supreme Court in his case against the state and Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
The Supreme Court has ruled that Amidu can orally examine the businessman under oath before the court to attempt to divulge how the Ghc 51m judgement debt that he won was wasted by him.
The state, represented by the Attorney General and the Minister of Justice, had earlier submitted a motion to examine Woyome to determine those same issues, but the Attorney General withdrew the motion just before the examination.
It later emerged that she had withdrawn the motion because Woyome had agreed to pay back the money to the state, but that was when Amidu filed a similar motion to be allowed to cross examine Woyome.
Lawyers for Woyome and the AG (how strange) then joined forces to prevent Amidu from getting to cross examine Woyome. The AG argued he had no standing in the case, which is hilarious since he is a citizen of Ghana interested in getting to the bottom of how our tax monies were spent when given to a government friendly businessman.
Joy News reported that “Mr. Woyome stormed out of the courtroom after the judgment was delivered, visibly upset.”
Like it or not, he is expected back on November 24 to answer questions.
