The Winds Of Change Are Blowing In The Volta Region – NPP Ag. Chairman Freddy Blay

The acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddy Blay, says the winds of change are blowing in the Volta Region, the region which has historically been described as the ‘world bank’ of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The Volta Region is the NDC’s most loyal region, delivering huge margins of victory to the party in every election. But after the recent NPP campaign in the region the party are claiming the people are ready for change after years of neglect from the NDC.
Speaking to party leaders in the region, Blay said that the NPP would record their highest ever vote total in the region in this year’s elections.
“Change is coming to the Volta Region.” he said.
“We can smell it, feel it and see it. The enthusiasm, reception, participation and attendances to meetings are very impressive,” he continued.

According to him, the party are targeting more seats in the region as well, and some of their terrible electoral performances would be placed behind them.
“I can confidently say that the situation where we got zero and single votes in some polling stations will be a thing of the past.” he added.
This year’s elections has been keenly fought and contested, with both parties trying to expand their voting base for as much as they can. The NDC has also announced an operation to receive 1m votes from the Ashanti Region.
