The Black Princesses were kicked out of the Women’s U-20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea earlier today after a 1-1 draw with team USA.
Ghana took an early lead through Ernestina Abambila after her long range shot beat the US goalie, but the team could not hold on long enough and conceded a goal just before half time.
Ghana needed a huge win and for results to go our way in the other group game but failed to win, meaning France’s 2-0 win over New Zealand sent the French and Americans through.
Ghana thus finished bottom of the group and are sent packing from the tournament early.
