The Accra High Court hearing the case against Bishop Daniel Obinim for flogging two church members issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the man of God earlier today.
Obinim was due for a court date today in the case, and failed to appear with his counsel on time for proceedings to start.
After adjourning the case to December 13, trial judge Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku issued a warrant for the arrest of the Bishop for his no-show.
Not long after, Obinim appeared with his lawyer to plead for the judge to change the decision as he had appeared. After a little deliberations she agreed to drop the warrant.
