The Presidential aspirants contesting the 2016 elections were on hand earlier today (Thursday) to sign a pledge to ensure peace prevails in the upcoming elections.
The President John Dramani Mahama, opposition leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, and all other candidates were on hand to sign the pledge, which they had earlier committed to signing at the behest of a slew of international bodies observing the election.
The signing occurred during a ceremony held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the United Nations and the Commonwealth of Nations observer missions announced the deal with a statement last week.
All aspirants were present except Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, who was represented by his vice, Bridgette Dzorgbenuku.
