President John Dramani Mahama has called for three days of fasting and prayers to call for peace and stability in Ghana.
In a statement released Friday, December 02-04 has been declared as three days for Muslims and Christians to pray and fast to their God for a peaceful polls and continued stability in the country.
Serious countries embark on steps to ensure the right thing is done but Africans seem to think everything lies with divine providence.
The EC has been shambolic in their preparations, either of the two major parties does not look like they are ready to accept defeat – yet some prayer should magically solve everything.
Some country we have.

PRESIDENT MAHAMA DECLARES THREE DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYERS FOR CONTINUOUS PEACE AND STABILITY IN GHANA
His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana is urging Christians and Muslims including all people of faith to dedicate three days (Friday, 2nd – Sunday, 4th December, 2016) to fast and pray for the nation ahead of the imminent December 7 elections.
As we fast and pray for continuous peace and stability in Ghana before, during and after the elections, the President is further urging all to dedicate their specific days of worship- Friday, Saturday and Sunday to pray to God to intercede for Ghana.
It is his belief that through fasting and prayers, supported by appropriate measures and actions on the part of all stakeholders, “Our dear nation will once again demonstrate to the world that Ghana is not only the beacon of hope for Africa’s Democracy but also the nation ready and willing to continue on the path of progress and prosperity for all.”

EDWARD K. OMANE BOAMAH (DR)
