Popular Ghanaian journalist-Kwami Sefa-Kayi has expressed shock and disappointment that he could not cast his ballot because his name has not been found on the special voters list.
This is the second time he has encountered this problem as hundreds have been turned away from voting centers with the same problem.
The special voters are early voters who by their professional categories cannot vote on the general election day December 7. They are journalists, health professionals and security officers whose services are deemed essential on voting day hence the early opportunity.
Kwami Sefa-Kayi, hosts of Accra-based Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ visited his designated voting center at Tema Community 2 polling station in the Tema West constituency but to his disappointment, his name was not to be found.
‘My name has vanished’ he told Francis Abban on Joy News Sunday.
“It’s not just me…there are quite a number of us out here and maybe I will go and try again on Wednesday,” the disappointed Broadcaster indicated.
