Whilst the electoral commission continues to dawdle with the release of the election results, provisional results coming in from all over the country seem to point towards a win for the opposition New Patriotic Party.
Nana Addo has a slim lead in the Presidential race, a lead that could win him the election outright or, if President Mahama recovers enough votes, force a run-off.
But despite a relatively close Presidential race there is no doubt the NPP is crushing the NDC in the parliamentary race. All across the country, the ruling party is dropping seat after seat after seat, with some of those losing seasoned party bigwigs such as Alhaji Collins Dauda, Hannah Tetteh or Nii Amasah Namoale.
The NPP claims they have won 175 out of 275 seats (not confirmed). But whatever the real numbers, they are likely to hold the majority in the next Parliament, having won seats off of the ruling party in every single region – including even the Volta region!
Find below a list of seats the NPP has wrenched from the NDC showing their complete dominance over them in the parliamentary polls.
