A YouTube vlogger known as Simon Whistler has posted up a video which is picking up quite some interest from the male of the species – why getting kicked in the testicles causes sharp pain that travels throughout the body.
That particular brand of assault can actually cause a man to vomit, so it is interesting to learn what makes that happen.
On his ‘Today I Found Out’ YouTube channel, Whistler explains that the testicles actually form below the stomach around the abdominal area, and then drop to their position. But they remain connected to that area and getting kicked in the testes transfers the pain back to the abdomen and to the spine.
Nausea occurs also because the body releases a ‘sympathetic nervous system discharge’, which causes nausea, and vomiting, for those with low tolerance for that discharge.
