Legendary highlife singer and instrumentalist, Ackah Blay has lost his wife.
Mrs Dorothy Blay passed away at the 37 Mlitary Hospital on Monday, the distraught singer told Hit Fm’s MzGee.
According to Mr Blay, his wife had not shown symptoms of any ailments when she had to be rushed to hospital last Saturday, starting the chain of events that led to her death.
Mr Blay revealed:
“On Saturday, I was at church rehearsing with the band and choir for Sunday church service when I had a call that she had been rushed to the Lapaz Community Hospital. When I saw her condition upon my arrival at the hospital, I requested that she should be transferred to 37 Military Hospital. They accepted my plea and transferred her around 11pm Saturday. From that 11pm Saturday till the time she died on Monday, she was in coma – she couldn’t tell anybody what happened to her.”
The late Dorothy Blay, 47, is survived by her husband Ackah and two children.
