In a desperate, last gasp attempt to get what is theirs, the Black Queens of Ghana have stormed the Sports Ministry in Accra to protest the delay of government in paying them bonuses owed from the last national outing.
The Queens placed third at the recently held African Women’s Championships but are still yet to receive their bonuses from the competition, with each player owed $25,000.
The infuriated team stormed the offices of the GFA earlier today before ambling over to the Sports Ministry, refusing to leave until they are paid.
Female teams in the country continue to be disrespected almost every single time and whenever they return from representing the country, they have to fight tooth and nail to get what is owed them and that is exactly what we are seeing right now – AGAIN.
