Former Ashgold goalie Fatau Dauda has received a late call up into the Black Stars setup after Adam Larsen Kwarasey dropped out due to injury.
Kwarasey was one of three goalies named by coach Avram Grant to his 26 man squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, but has succumbed to a setback which has led to him being dropped.
In his stead, the current FC Enyimba goalie would go to the tournament. Dauda is a veteran of the side and was Ghana’s no.1 at the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
The Black Stars would camp in the UAE for a few days before leaving for Gabon for the Afcon tournament, which kicks off on January 14.
