Ghana Now Has Minister for Inner Cities and Zongo Development–36 Ministers Named So Far By President Akufo Addo

blank

Ghanaians voted for change and the change seems to be here–though many seem think that President Akufo Addo is pushing his Ministerial appointments too far.

The President has today put forward eleven names to join his government in addition to the 25 he has already named the previous two days, bringing his substantive ministerial appointments to 36 and they will reasonably come deputies.

Interesting among the list is Ministry of Inner Cities and Zongo Development –with Boniface Saddique as the appointed Minister.

We also now have Special Development Initiatives Ministry – with Hawa Mavis Koomson as the Minister.

The question remains; are attempts to develop Ghanaian Zongos not part of Special Development Initiatives? Why must there be these two ministries seemingly set up to perform the same function?

On the same note, Ministry of Regional Reorganisation and Development has been instituted with Dan Botwe in charge.
